More than a Summit

For me, mountaineering has always been about friends by my side at the summit more than the summit. Climbing with perennials like Tom, Brandon, Larry or whether it’s meeting new friends Cecil in Mexico a decade ago (photo is last year running into Cecil at Namche), Dan in Aconcagua, Lhakpa on Rainier, Luke on Denali, Fab in Antarctica, Sange on Everest, the list goes on and on. Memories and friendships to last an eternity possible nowhere but in the thin air of our Earths mightiest peaks. And so, Tom and I head out today to meet Dan and Fab already in the swing of things in Kathmandu. Another adventure and new friendships to be certain!
